Vote Using Microsoft Silverlight

The FANVote System utilizes the power of Microsoft's Silverlight environment. Silverlight is the standard for many entertainment and sports companies including NBC (including the Olympics, NCAA (including March Madness) and NetFlix (On Demand Movies).  Silverlight is simple to download and is completely free from Microsoft just like their Internet Explorer browser.

When you go to the FANVote page to vote for your favorite players and teams, you should see the voting system.  If you do not you should be prompted to download and install Microsoft Silverlight.  If you do not see the voting system and you are not prompted to download Microsoft Silverlight you can download Silverlight manually here.

In addition, below you will find manual detailed install instructions, minimum requirements and uninstall instructions.  Should you have issues this page does not address feel free to drop a line using the form located to the right.

RECOMMENDED: Use Silverlight in the 32-bit Internet Explorer process on x64 systems. Most browser plug-ins (including Silverlight, Flash, Java and almost all ActiveX controls) only work in 32-bit browsers currently.
 
Manually Installing Microsoft Silverlight in Windows
  1. Verify your system requirements
    Make sure you are running a Silverlight-compatible Windows operating system and browser (see above) and that you have uninstalled any previous version of Silverlight or code name "WPF/E."

  2. Download Silverlight
    Click on the link below to start.
    Silverlight 2

    For Windows Internet Explorer users:

    The browser will prompt you to either run or save the installation file (Silverlight.2.0.exe). Click Run to start the download. When the download is finished, the browser prompts you again to run the installer. Click Run to start the installation. Note that you must have sufficient administrative privileges to install Silverlight.    		 For Mozilla Firefox users:

    Save Silverlight.2.0.exe to your hard disk. Once the download is finished, click Open. The installation starts.
  3. Install Silverlight
    • If you are running the Windows Vista operating system, you will be prompted for security permissions. To continue, you need to approve.
    • Click 'Install now' after reviewing the license agreement and privacy statement.
    • If you have had a previous version of Silverlight installed, or are using Mozilla Firefox, you will need to restart your browser.
    • You can now use Silverlight.
  4. Verify
    Verify your installation by experiencing the Silverlight site.

Note: If you do not see any of the above installed on your computer, then you have not installed a previous version of Silverlight, or you have already successfully uninstalled it. You can install the latest version of Silverlight.
